About Us

Office , at Indira Holiday Home, Sector 24B, Chandigarh. The society runs two Holiday Homes: (i) Indira Holiday Home, Sector 24-B, Chandigarh, (ii) Anand Bhawan Sadhupul, Himachal Pradesh, on Kandaghat – Chail Road. These two Holiday Homes are mainly used for holding camps for students. These camps are either sponsored by Govt. of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh Administration or non-sponsored camps organized by educational institutions or Travel Agents etc.

The Holiday Home in Chandigarh is spread over a 6.5 acre piece of land, and has specious lawns and open spaces. It has following facilities:-

  • Well furnished A.C. Rooms with attached toilets.
  • Dormitory accommodation for students.
  • Adequate space for providing budget accommodation for more than 100 persons.
  • Fully air-conditioned auditorium, with good acoustics.
  • A fully air-conditioned dining hall with a capacity of 200 persons.

Society’s second complex in Himachal Pradesh, on Kandaghat – Chail Road is situated at a place of great scenic beauty, surrounded by hills , and is climatically very comfortable in all seasons. It is located in a building Holiday Home Society (Regd) is a non profit making, voluntary, welfare organization with its Head Known as ‘Anand Bhavan’. That was donated to the Society in the early 50s by the then Maharaja of Patiala. It is used for student camps and is ideally suited or the stay of groups / persons interested in trekking etc. The place is suitable for use by Travel Agents and Departments of Tourism for group camps/ tours.

Society being a charitable and non-profit making organization, its charges for the use of its facilities are very reasonable.

  • Camps for School Childrens

    Camps can have enormous benefits for both children and teenagers, not least in the terms of their, recreation, confidence, their independence, levels of physical activity, social integration and the friendships made with children from all walks of life. Those who have been lucky enough to have participated in  such a camp or two , carry these memories to their adult hood, having learned skills or discovered a talent or forged friendships that have lasted a life time.

  • Preparatory School

    The School has experienced and qualified teachers and is situated in clean and attractive environment with adequate open spaces for games and outdoor activities. The Children from the school get admission in prestigious regular schools in the city.

  • Sewing School

    With a view to enhancing skills of young girls from low income group and make them employable, the Society is running an embroidery and tailoring classes. The centre has a very experienced and qualified teacher for this purpose.
