Janamashtmi was celeberated at Indira Holiday Home School, Sector 24 – B, Chandigarh. All students from Playway class to class 2nd participated in the celeberations.The childern were dressed as Lord Krishna, Radha & Gopians. Songs related to Janamashtmi were played on which the children performed. Puja was performed by the staff. Aarti was recited and the prasad was distributed after the puja. The involvement of the childern in the celeberationsat such a tender age was worth applauding. The school principal wished all the childern on this occassion.
Rhythm and zest were the hallmarks of RAZZ MATAZ ,the annual function of Indira Holiday Home School, Sector 24, Chandigarh held in school auditorium today. The school Principal Ravinder Kaur, welcomed the guests and parents and she said that the school was committed for promoting the personality of each and every individual in totally. The programme commenced with ‘Saraswati Vandana ‘ followed by rhymes on Animals and their young ones by the young ones by Play way class. The Nursery class children got a big applause from the audience when presented a song ” CHOONA HAI AASMAAN” . The audience was delighted when the Pre Nursery classes sang and danced on the WANGA BOY’S song. The audience went in the period of golden era when K.G class students performed on the songs of Late RAJ KAPOOR. Nursery B class students mesmerised the audience on the performance of “We Shall Overcome “. The grand finale of the show was Gidha performance by 1st and 2nd class. It was riot of colour mixed with their innocence which spilled the magic on the stage with every presentation.
I.H.H.S celebrated the festival of lights, DIWALI with great devotion and enthusiasm. To make it a joyful day, a special assembly was organised to mark the occasion. The Diwali song and the rhythmic dances mesmerised the environment. The message of clean, peaceful and a cracker free Diwali was given.
The school was decorated on this occasion with rangoli, diyas and lights. The Principal and the teachers offered their warm wishes to the children and reiterated that the children should celebrate pollution free Diwali in its finest form by lighting lamps and sharing things with less fortunate. The students were discouraged from bursting the crackers.The students were given sweets. The students were encouraged to make cards on the DIWALI theme.The festival of fun and excitement came to an end with loads of joy and happiness sparkling on the faces of every child present there.
Keeping the festive spirit alive and teaching the students about the Indian culture, students and staff of I.H.H.S celebrated Dussehra in school premises on 29th September 2017 with great enthusiasm and energy. A special assembly was conducted in which students were told about the significance of the festival. A cultural programme was held in the school premises. The little ones were dressed in their best costumes as Ram , Lakshman, Sita and Ravan.The students performed a dance sequence related to Ramayana ( on pal pal hai bari) in a very graceful manner. The Management of the school appreciated everyone for presenting a wonderful programme.
The little buddies Indira Holiday Home School, Chandigarh organised “Craft Villa” on Friday ie 01st Dec 2017. Every class displayed art and craft and different projects based on best out of waste.
The exhibition was inaugrated by Mr P R Aggarwal, Honorary Secretary of Indira Holiday Home School. It was initiated with beautiful welcome dance and “Saraswati Vandana” by the young artists.
I t got an overwhelming response, both by children as well as guradians. The exhibition was appreciated by honorable guests. It showed the talent which teh little buddies had. The beautiful art and craft done by the youngbuddies left the spectators mermerised. Various art works like paper pasting, clay modelling, pot painting, thumb impressions, innovative models of computers were on display.or the game lovers, games like car racing, musical chairs, line walking, making pyramid were main center of attraction. The key objective of this exhibition was to boost up the hidden talent of the children.
The Principal, Ravinder Kaurremarked that such exhibitions offered opportuintiesand provide a platform to the students to display their creative and artistic talents. The event saw a great enthusiasm of the little buddies who were eagerly waiting to show their talent. She thanked her staff for putting up the hard work for making the event successful.
Vaccination drive at Indira Holiday Home School , Sector 24. Chandigarh. As per the directions of Director Health and Family Welfare Chandigarh Administration, a vaccination drive was under taken at I. H.H. School by a team of doctors from Sector 24 Dispensary. The students from Play way to class 2nd were vaccinated as a preventive measure against Measles and Rubella.
